ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan has officially delisted Election Tribunal case, citing unavailability of Justice Jamal Mandokhail as primary reason. Notice regarding delisting was issued.
Case was originally scheduled to be heard on August 19 by five-member bench led by Chief Justice of Pakistan. However, due to absence of Justice Jamal Mandokhail, hearing will not proceed as planned. PTI's lawyer, Salman Akram Raja had previously filed request for adjournment. In his application, he noted that senior lawyer Hamid Khan is currently out of country until September 6. Given this situation, Hamid Khan had also submitted leave application, requesting that hearing on case be postponed until his return. Supreme Court's decision to delist case means that new date for hearing will be set once bench is fully available and involved legal teams are present.
