Sultan Chawla takes over as new Chairman PNSC

KARACHI: The Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Islamabad has appointed Sultan A. Chawla, a prominent businessman and former President of FPCCI, as new Chairman of the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) Board. This is announced in terms of Section 15(2) of the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operation) Act, 2023. 

The Ministry also announced the Federal Government’s Cabinet decision approval for appointment of five Independent Directors on the Board of Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) for a period of 03 years with immediate effect. 

They are Sultan A. Chawla, Arif Habib, Khalil Ahmed, Khawaja Shahzeb Akram and Miss Nadia Osman Jung. According to notification Khalil Ahmed shall have to resign from the Directorship of Float Securities (Pvt) Limited before joining PNSC Board.
