Suleman Shehbaz gets protective bail for 14 days

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has approved 14 days protective bail in respect of Suleman Shehbaz son of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in money laundering case.  Protective bail plea came up for hearing before single bench of IHC headed by Chief Justice (CJ) Amir Farooq. Suleman appeared in court along with his counsel Amjid Pervez.

 

Petitioner said he went abroad in 2018 and case was registered against him in 2020. No call up notice from FIA was received in money laundering case, he added.  He pleaded that court conducted proceedings of declaring him proclaimed offender in absentia. Protective bail be granted so that he could appear before respective court in Lahore. CJ IHC questioned during hearing he has to appear in what court. Amjid Pervez told court he wants to appear in court of special judge Central Lahore. 

Talking to media men outside court Suleman Shehbaz said baseless allegations were leveled against them.

Fabricated cases were registered against Sharif family. What Imran Khan has done with us is all before you. Cases were got registered against us by pressurizing Javed Iqbal.  He said that Bashir Memon told how Imran Khan pressurised him. Shahzad Akbar is not seen anywhere now a days.
