Strong earthquake tremors jolt twin cities

ISLAMABAD: Strong earthquake rocked Islamabad and Rawalpindi with magnitude of 6.1, media reported. According to media reports, depth of earthquake was measured at 150 km with epicentre being Tajikistan. It occurred around 12:54 pm and had longitude of 69.65 East and latitude of 38.65 North.
No casualties and big losses were reported immediately, it emerged, while frightened citizens of twin cities came out of their houses. Some journalists in Islamabad said earthquake was ‘strong’ one.
“Felt very strong tremor in Islamabad. I hope everyone is safe,” journalist in Islamabad Tweeted.
