Street crimes in city, kidnapping for ransom in riverine area being curbed: Caretaker CM Sindh

KARACHI: Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar said that government was taking strict measures to curb menace of street crime in city and kidnapping for ransom in riverine area.
“We are establishing rule of law and nobody would be allowed to take law in hands.” Talking to media near M.A Jinnah Road-Sea-breeze where he attended chehlum procession said that most of abducted persons, except few have been recovered. He said that remaining kidnapees would be recovered shortly. “We have given clear message to police that no negligence in security and safety of citizens would be tolerated,” he said.
Justice Baqar said that issue of street crime was being solved. He added that Home Minister and IG police were taking strict measures to control situation and its positive results would come out shortly.
To question, he said that caretaker government was taking measures to improve economic situation of country. He hoped that people would witness improvement.
Earlier, he attended Majlis at Nishtar Park and later visited CPO Command and Control Centre where he reviewed security arrangements for procession.
