Steps are being taken to increase sports activities: Rehmatullah Sheikh

Karachi: Administrator DMC  East Rahmatullah Sheikh has said that dmc east has played its role to increase sports activities, it is the need of the hour to attract youth and children towards sports with curricular activities.

He expressed these views while attending the Badminton Championship along with Executive Engineer M&E Imtiaz Bhutto, Director Advertising Hammad Khan as the chief guest. He said that steps are being taken to increase sports activities as well as providing support, working to improve the grounds and other sports centers,he added.

He appreciated the role of Sindh Badminton Association for organizing badminton championship at Physical Training Institute Safoora on the occasion of Independence Day of Pakistan and asked other sports organizers to continue sports activities.  Active life is a sign of health for which it is necessary to participate fully in sports activities, he urged people of all ages to take part in sports activities for physical health according to their passion. On this occasion, he distributed trophies and gifts to the winning teams. In the three-day badminton championship, 50 teams participated, in which Abdul Samad Sheikh, Hamza Khan in men's doubles and Saba Rashid and Maryam Bibi in women won the tournament. Administrator DMC  East  Rahmatullah Sheikh,Executive Engineer Imtiaz Bhutto and Director Advertising Hammad Khan were warmly welcomed by the Sindh Badminton Association and presented traditional Ajrak and cap to them.
