SSP District Central Maroof Usman appealed to public that they should help injured victims after any accident or crime incidents without any fear of being arrested or anything regarding to record their statements as a witness in any police station of District Central. 

District Central Police cannot insist on a helping redeemer to be a witness. According to orders of IG Sindh, District Central Police will encourage such a redeemer and give him awards and certificates of appreciation. He said that police is working to help people by utilising all resources.

It is a wrong impression that police call person who helps injured or killed in an accident to court. It is up to person to decide whether he wants to be a witness or not. Police will not compel such a person but will give him respect and rewards, he added.
