Sri Lanka women to tour Ireland for white-ball series

Dublin: Sri Lanka women will feature in a two-match T20I series followed by a three-game ODI series, against Ireland, beginning 11 August. Sri Lanka, placed at no.7 on the ICC Women's T20I Team Rankings, will feature in a two-game T20I series against no.10 Ireland.
The islanders are fresh off a historic maiden Asia Cup triumph. They beat India by eight wickets in the final. The fixtures will give Sri Lanka much-needed game time in the lead-up to the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024. The two T20Is will be followed by a three-match ODI series beginning on 16 August.
The ODI games will be a part of the ICC Women's Championship 2022-25. Sri Lanka are at fifth place with 20 points to their name, with Ireland at the bottom of the table with merely two points against their name. In the four ODI engagements between the two sides, Sri Lanka have won three games while one match has ended in no result. In the T20Is, Sri Lanka have an unblemished record with three wins from three matches.
