Speakers at moot flay west on anti-Islamists attempts

Karachi: On third anniversary of martyrdom of General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, a conference ‘Against Islamophobia and Global Terrorism’ was organised by Consulate General of Islamic Republic of Iran here. Officials of state government, religions scholars, academic, political and social personalities participated.

Consul General Hassan Nourian said to introduce Islam as violent religion, enemies attribute Islam, sectarianism and extremism to Islam. Anti-Islamists, by creating movements in name of Islam try to destroy face of real Islam. Therefore, we must fulfill our religious and social duties by clarifying truths and teachings of Islam against these temptations.

As supreme leader of Iran said, Although martyrdom of Qassem Soleimani happened at hands of worst president of America, services of Shaheed Soleimani as Muslim commander for Syria, Iraq and other countries in region are not hidden from anyone.

Ghulam Rasool Baloch former Ambassador of Pakistan in Vietnam said, Islamophobia is not only conspiracy for existence of Muslims, but also an obstacle for spiritual, political and even economic presence of Muslims in world.

Hussain Abdullah Haroon former permanent representative of Pakistan in United Nations said, Enemies of Islam are afraid of unity and integrity of Muslims. Muslims of world should work to increase unity and consensus among Muslims and lay foundation for appearance of Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him).

Hassan Habib, former Ambassador of Pakistan to North Korea said, Muslim countries need to invest in public diplomacy and increase level of education at this time because world’s media used to speak openly against Muslims at that time. Islamophobia is sign of violence, militancy and terrorism and it should not be.

Deputy Secretary General of Pakistan Majlis Wahdat Al-Musleen Syed Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi said, America is no longer superpower as it was in past 20 years. World is witnessing shift in direction of power from West to East. West tried hard to freeze Islam and keep it away from politics, but Imam Khomeini (RA) proved this thinking wrong by defeating puppet of West in Iran.

Karachi Commissioner Iqbal Memon said that unity among Muslims and progress in field of media are necessary to face upcoming challenges. A clear example of this was display of flag of oppressed Palestinian people in World Cup by country of Qatar.

Secretary General of Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan Shabbir Maithmi, media expert Mubasher Mir, head of Ulama Wing Muslim League K.K. Azhar Ali Hamdani and representative of Pakistan Christianity Nazir Alam participated. Dr. Abdul Qadir Head of Islamic Studies Department of Bahria University, Dr. Shams Hameed, Head of Social Sciences Department of Iqra University, media representatives and others were present.

Saeed Talebi Nia Head of Khana Farhang said, Shaheed Soleimani was person who exposed face of Western terrorism to world through his actions and lifestyle. He added, “Unity among Muslims is essential in this era.”
