MANDI BAHAUDDIN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan claimed that decision over snap polls is being made in London.
Addressing participants of long march via video link, former Prime Minister said, “I hope that Chief Justice of Pakistan will hear case of an assassination attempt on him. Today our lawmakers appeared before SC to file an application over an assassination attempt on him. Country has to be headed towards path of rule of law as this is decisive moment.”
Lashing out at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif over Daily Mail case, PTI Chief said, “Shehbaz was fined by London’s court as court emphasised that everyone is equal in terms of law. In Britain, rule of law very much exists. Questing how could be it possible that PM Shehbaz Sharif consults absconder [Nawaz Sharif] over important decisions of country like Army Chief’s appointment and snap elections as this is a violation of Official Secret Act.
Imran lamented that he could not register FIR over an assassination attempt on him, being country’s former premier, adding that is important to establish a system of justice to make county prosperous.
Saying that in Riyasat-e-Madina, system of justice was established first, Imran added that countries where rule of law and justice prevail are prosperous.
Imran Khan said that a propaganda cell in Pakistan was feeding journalists against him. They [journalists] are told to pick and choose things from my interview and then turn those against me, he claimed, adding that propaganda cell was trying to misconstrue his words. Imran said that propaganda had reached extent where two journalists had to clarify that their work was being presented in an incorrect way.
