SMEs hold vital role in economic enhancement: KATI Chief Rehman

KARACHI: In bid to bolster economic improvement and address prevailing challenges, at Korangi Association of Trade and Industry-President Faraz-ur-Rehman and caretaker Minister of Industry and Commerce Sindh Younis Dhaga emphasised potential avenues for economic progress.

 Former President and Chairman of Standing Committee Masood Naqi, senior Vice President Nighat Awan, Vice President Muslim Muhammadi, former Chairman and Presidents Farhan-ur-Rehman, Saleem-uz-Zaman, Sheikh Umar Rehan and Syed Farrukh Mazhar were present.

Younis Dhaga highlighted untapped potential of mineral reserves, stating that their exploitation could play pivotal role in eliminating circular debt. K4 project-venture requiring an investment of 6 billion he expressed optimism with timely financial support, project could be completed by December 2024.Faraz-ur-Rehman underscored significance of advancing cottage industry to enhance economic conditions. He stressed need to revive Mehran Cottage Industry adjacent to Korangi, describing it as backbone of industrial area. "Promotion of cottage industry is indispensable for economic improvement."
