Rawalpindi: In two incidents six soldiers were martyred while two terrorist were killed and other two sustained injuries, according to military media wing.

In North Waziristan, during gunbattle with terrorists naik Zaheer Abbas and Lance naik Mirajuddin while fighting bravely embraced martyrdom. Arms and ammunition were recovered from terrorists. Meanwhile, four Army soldiers were martyred when their truck fell into river in Neelum Valley’s Changan area.

According to Neelum Police, cargo truck of Pakistan Army which was travelling from Batrasi to Mandkaro lost control of vehicle and plunged into deep gorge. As soon as information about accident was received, armed forces and civil rescue teams reached spot and initiated rescue operation. It was further reported that bodies of martyred soldiers were pulled from river and shifted to nearby hospital.

Last year, nine soldiers of Army were martyred and four injured when their truck plunged into ravine in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, according to military’s media wing.
