Karachi: The public relations office of the Sindh Industrial Trading Estates (SITE) Ltd Karachi has become a hub for brokery of industrial plots and manipulation, fabrication, and fraudulent Sale activities for several years with the alleged patronage of Zeeshan Alvi, Director Administration.

These activities are led by PRO Kamran Usman Choughlay with the help of his staff and other employees of relevant sections, it's learnt on Wednesday. Eye witnesses requesting anonymity told this scribe that Kamran Usman, serving as the Public Relations Officer of SITE Ltd Karachi, in collaboration with his staff and other employees has been involved in systematically stealing, altering and fabricating more than 35 old files.

These old files are shifted from SITE  record room to PRO office. With the patronage of Zeeshan Alvi allegedly, this illegal operation has been ongoing for over six years, targeting old files related to SITE Karachi, SITE Super Highway, SITE Nooriabad, Kotri, Hyderabad, and Sukkur, sources told.Further investigation by this scribe revealed that Kamran Usman with the assistance of his staff has been tampering old records, making unauthorized modifications, and producing fake documents. These fabricated files, which include false allotment letters, NOCs for mortgage, and drawing approvals, are allegedly sold to some individuals and businesses for financial gains.  It's worth mentioning that old records section is located in the basement, played a crucial role in providing Kamran Usman access to these files with the alleged support of Zeeshan Alvi as it's quite impossible to provide such files to PRO having no authority or assignment with regard to this official sensitive record. Such files were then taken to the PRO's office, altered, and sold to third parties. This fraud involves producing fake letters that appear to be officially issued by the Secretary, Managing Director (MD), and Director of Finance of SITE Ltd at first sight.

Director admin Zeeshan Alvi has always provided cover to Kamran Usman and his team due to unknown reasons. The team is reportedly using forged signatures and dispatch numbers to give authenticity to these fraudulent documents, enabling them to manipulate property ownership and approvals, sources further revealed. Sources confirmed that the altered files, containing falsified approvals and permissions, are being sold to innocent buyers as they trust them as SITE employees.  This criminal activity continues to generate significant profits for Kamran Usman and their associates, with no indication of them stopping this ongoing fraud. There are still number of original files hidden in the PRO office that have yet to be tampered with. Immediate intervention is required to seize these records and prevent further criminal manipulation by initiating disciplinary action against involved employees to stop this systemic corruption within SITE Ltd, sources claimed.
