Karachi: Hundreds of employees of the Sindh Industrial Trading Estates (SITE) are yet to receive their February salaries due to alleged incompetence of the Managing Director (MD) and finance officials, sources revealed.

The delay has placed immense financial strain on lower-grade employees, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. According to sources, delayed salary payments have become a routine issue at SITE, causing undue hardship for workers and their families. So far, only employees up to BPS-8 have received their salaries, while the rest continue to wait. The prolonged financial uncertainty has left many struggling to plan for their daily fasts and Ramadan expenses There are allegations that SITE officials generate revenue through various means, that’s why they appear to have a little interest in improving the organization’s financial management.

Employees accuse the administration of negligence, urging authorities to intervene and resolve the crisis. This scribe contacted MD SITE Mr. Arif Zaidi for his comment but he didn’t reply.
