Sindh to provide free education in private schools for children of terrorism victims

KARACHI: Sindh has decided to offer free education in private schools to children of parents who have fallen victim to terrorism. I

n an official communication, Additional Director of Private Institutions Sindh Rafia Javed informed private schools of decision to provide free education to children of parents affected by terrorism. Rafia Javed stated, “Children from low-income families and those of martyred parents will receive free education in private schools.” She instructed schools to establish committees comprising parents and teachers to oversee implementation of this initiative. She director mentioned that these committees would determine which children are eligible, with mandate to provide free education to 10 percent of total student population. “Action will be taken against schools that fail to comply with directive to offer free education to 10 percent of such children,” Rafia Javed added.
