Sindh Premier League gets NOC, Nasir Shah acknowledges PCB

Karachi: Cricket Board issued NOC to Sindh Premier League (SPL). With this new development, wave of happiness has spread among players, team owners and officials of Sindh.  First edition preparations are underway. President SPL Arif Malik and former Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah met Chairman PCB Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf at PCB headquarters. PCB Director Domestic Nadeem Khan and officials of PCB were present.  Nasir Hussain Shah said that SPL is being organised in accordance with vision of Peoples’ Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. In light of his instructions, players who never had chance to showcase their talents should be included in this league.

He said that Chairman PPP is showing special interest in organising first Sindh league. His instructions are not only to highlight cricket talent but also to showcase culture of Sindh through this league.

This will not only represent Sindh but also beauty of Pakistan and its culture to world. He credited ex- Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and entire Cabinet for efforts in bringing SPL in current state. He expressed hope that SPL would become successful league in Pakistan from its very first edition. Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf said SPL would undoubtedly contribute to new chapter in sports history of Sindh. Arif Malik considered obtaining NOC as an important step towards their success. He hoped organising league will benefit youth. He said cricket fans will enjoy best and competitive cricket.  Players like Shahid Afridi, Misbahul Haq and Abdul Razzaq joining them signifies that SPL journey is heading in right direction. He said team formation is underway player draft will be announced soon.
