Sindh police using all resources to help flood victims: DIG

KARACHI: Under directives of IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon and supervision of DIG Security Dr. Maqsood Ahmed a convoy of trucks laden with relief goods for flood victims was sent to different areas of Sindh yesterday from SSU Headquarters on behalf of Sindh Police. 

Citizens have donated relief goods in relief camps set up outside SSU headquarters by Security Division, it includes drinking water, pulses, food grains, dry milk, biscuits, tea and bedding etc. DIG Security and Emergency Services also focal person of Sindh Police Crisis Management Centre briefed commandos and officers accompanying convoy and instructed to deliver relief goods to beneficiaries. Dr. Maqsood Ahmed said that IG Sindh has issued special instructions to help people of Sindh in this difficult time and stand aside with our brothers who are in distress.

Keeping in view orders and spirit of patriotism, convoys of relief goods have left from SSU headquarters which will distribute necessities to needy in different districts of Sindh. He said that Sindh Police is playing an exemplary role in current crisis. Scope of services of Sindh Police has been expanded, it will now not only ensure maintaining law and order but also stand by side of flood victims in their difficult time and help them in every possible way.
