Sindh Minister inaugurates upgraded CPLC Call Centre

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul- Hassan Lanjar inaugurated upgraded Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) Call Centre 1102, emphasising need for enhanced crime-fighting tools and techniques across Sindh province. 

During his visit, CPLC Chief briefed <inister on organisation’s initiatives aimed at curbing crimes. Lanjar called for further upgrades to CPLC to ensure more effective results, vowing full government support. Lanjar also instructed Sindh’s Inspector General of Police to submit recommendations for installation of surveillance cameras and provision of drones along police lines, stations and procession routes. These proposals are expected to be included in next fiscal year’s budget. Minister stressed importance of swift response to complaints received via Police Helpline 15 and highlighted necessity of ‘S4 Safe City Project’ for Karachi’s security infrastructure. ‘Modern techniques in crime-fighting are essential to ensuring success,’ Lanjar concluded.
