Sindh govt to purchase more electric buses for Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Secretary Sohail Rajput said that 15 to 20 more electric buses will be purchased for Karachi while talking to delegation of Asian Development Bank. Meeting agreed to solve problems of BRT Red Line project and complete it on time.

Chief Secretary said that Peoples’ Bus project has been successful in Karachi, Pink Bus has also received global recognition and now Sindh government has decided to purchase 15 to 20 more electric buses for port city.

Asian Development Bank delegation said that there is problem with transfer of land for construction of biogas plant in Malir, on which Sohail Rajput assured delegation of providing all possible support in completing project.

He was informed about installations of several departments including K-Electric and KWSB on project. Sohail assured Asian Development Bank delegation of transfer of all utility installations from land of project. Delegation said that Asian Development Bank will continue to provide all possible support to Sindh government and transport department.
