Sindh govt pledges compensation for Iran bus crash victims, families

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah announced financial assistance for families of those killed and injured in Iran bus accident. Murad, following directives of Pakistan Peoples' Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, announced that each family of deceased will receive Rs 5 million, while each injured person will receive Rs 1 million.
He said that Sindh government, under Bilawal Bhutto's guidance, has made complete arrangements to bring back deceased pilgrims. Remains of Pakistani pilgrims who died in bus accident were flown to Sukkur today on special flight.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah also assured that all reports regarding arrangements and compensation were promptly submitted to Bilawal Bhutto. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah directed district administration to maintain close cooperation and communication with families of deceased and injured.
Sindh Minister Nasir Shah conveyed message to families of deceased earlier, assuring them that Sindh government has arranged air ambulances and other ambulances in Sukkur and Jacobabad.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah promised timely communication regarding aircraft's landing and transportation of victims. He said that if any of injured need to be transferred to Karachi, an air ambulance has been arranged. Sindh government will ensure injured receive best possible medical treatment, urging families to remain calm.
