Sindh govt announces public holiday on March 23

KARACHI: Sindh government announced public holiday on March 23 (Thursday) 2023 on account of Pakistan Day throughout province. In notification issued by Services, General Administration and Coordination Department of Sindh, it stated, “Government of Sindh declares March 23, 2023 (Thursday) as Public Holiday on ‘Pakistan Day’ throughout Province of Sindh.

However, public holiday does not apply to essential services, including those engaged in Covid-19 and flood relief duties. Meanwhile, State Bank of Pakistan has also declared bank holiday on March 23, 2023 on Pakistan Day.

Pakistan Stock Exchange will also remain closed on account of Pakistan Day.
