Sindh Governor discusses 'political situation' with Asif Zardari

ISLAMABAD: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori met Pakistan Peoples' Party co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari here a day earlier and discussed Sindh's political situation. According to details, Sindh Governor who was on an official visit called on Asif Ali Zardari and discussed Sindh's political situation. Sources told that two personalities discussed province's law and order situation and matters of mutual interest.
They discussed Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan's agreement with Pakistan Peoples' Party. Governor also put forward MQM-P's reservations over delimitation of constituencies. Earlier in January, administrators recommended by Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan were reinstated after local government withdraw notification of their removal.
Election Commission of Pakistan withdrew notification to remove MQM-P administrators from charge, which was issued earlier this month on January 3.
Meanwhile, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has condemned the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry, saying that arresting anyone is condemnable.
Talking to journalists in Karachi, the MQM-P Convener regretted that the PTI leader used to call Karachi citizens – who get arrested – ‘terrorists’, adding that now when he has realized the sufferings after getting arrested. In response to a question, Khalid Maqbool said that Babar Ghori was returning to Pakistan due to his mother’s illness, adding that MQM-P’s doors were open for the former leader.
He further said that MQM-P had withdrawn from the elections over ‘violation of its rights’, adding that they will decide on contesting National Assembly by-elections in Rabata committee’s meeting.
