Sindh Gov takes notice of sewer line blast near Lasbela Chowk

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori after taking notice of explosion in sewage line near Lasbela Chowk asked Commissioner Karachi for report on incident. Governor Sindh also directed to provide best medical facilities to injured in accident.

At least eight persons received injuries when blast took place in sewerage line near Lasbela.

According to police, blast took place due to gas stuck in sewerage line. As result of blast, eight people sustained burn injuries, while hotel and several constructions were damaged.

Meanwhile, Governor has approved Sindh Immunisation and Epidemics Control Bill 2023. Purpose of the bill is to prevent and control diseases and epidemics in province through immunisation, vaccination, scientific and social means and methods. Officials shall be authorised to impose imprisonment up to one month or fine up to fifty thousand rupees or both in case of refusal from elders.

On other hand, Tessori approved Sindh Essential Commodities Price Control and Prevention of Profiteering and Hoardings (Amendment Bill) 2023. Bill amends Commodity Price Control and Prevention of Profiteering and Hoarding Act.
