Sindh Film Censor Board green-lights release of ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’

KARACHI: As the Pakistani cinema industry is trying to gear at fast pace, so now the much anticipated Punjabi film 'The Legend of Maula Jatt' gets green signal after receiving a certificate by the Sindh Film Censor Board.
Chairman Film Censor Board Sindh, Khalid Bin Shaheen while exclusively talking to ‘Daily National Courier’ said that it is the need of the hour to produce quality content at one side, while promoting the right talent in the right manner across the globe that will ultimately result in making the name of Pakistan proud at the international level.
Chairman Film Censor Board Sindh also added that Pakistan is full of incredible, competent artists and the film-makers who acquire all such skills that can magnificently raise the standard of our theatres and cinemas to a far-fetched place. ‘This film will play a predominant role in the revival of Punjabi cinema’, Khalid said.
Vice Chairman Sachal Sheikh, Board Members brig Brigadier Jahangir Bajwa ISPR ,Shafqat Larik, Umar Khattab Khan and Gul e Rana also appreciated the film at the Censor Preview of the film at the local cinema.
It is pertinent to mention here that already this film has created its place in the hearts of the netizens as the entire cast of the film is getting viral all around social media and people are now just waiting for the day it will be released. Even the people from the neighbouring India are also making all best wishes for the film producer Ammara Hikmat and director Bilal Lashari and last but not the least the glitzy role of Mahira Khan is the centre of the attention for all.
The film is an unofficial sequel to the 1975's Wehshi Jatt, starring Sultan Rahi as Maula Jatt and Mustafa Qureshi as his arch-rival Noori Natt, two of the most iconic characters in Pakistani cinema.
‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ is all set to hit the theatres across the country from October 13 via Mandviwala Entertainment Minute.
