Sindh CM assures allocation of funds to MQM-P lawmakers

KARACHI: Sindh government assured Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) of providing funds to their Sindh Assembly lawmakers.
A joint delegation of Sindh government including Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in Karachi met MQM-P leadership to resolve their concerns. According to sources, delegation led by Deputy Convener of MQM Pakistan Coordination Committee Khawaja Izharul Hasan met with Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and during meeting, MQM demanded release of development funds for members of Sindh Assembly. On this, Sindh government assured to give funds of Rs 120 million funds to each MQM-P lawmaker while MQM-P delegation also demanded that points of agreement should be implemented.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan has expressed concerns over an alarming rise in street crimes in Karachi and demanded special courts to hold speedy trial of street criminals. MQM-P delegation, comprising Deputy Convener Khawaja Izharul Hassan, Kamran Tessori and others met with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to discuss law and order situation in provincial capital.
Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab and Saeed Ghani were also present. During meeting, MQM-P leadership called for setting up model courts to try street criminals on terrorism charges. MQM delegation also called for a comprehensive and effective strategy to eliminate street crimes in Karachi. Delegation also demanded CM Murad to restore election committee.
