Sindh announces to launch PBS on Lyari Expressway: Sharjeel Memon

KARACHI: In order to provide transport facilities to people of Karachi, Sindh government announced to launch Peoples Bus Service (PBS) on Lyari Expressway. This was announced by Sindh Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon while chairing meeting related to transport sector here.

Initially, government will conduct survey for test drive of Peoples Bus Service on Lyari Expressway. He directed transport officials to submit report pertaining to survey and test drive of bus service by June 11.

 “Launch of bus service on Lyari Expressway will reduce traffic on other Karachi roads,” said Memon in meeting. He said that PPP-led Sindh government was working tirelessly to resolve Karachi transport issues. On Thursday, Sharjeel Memon directed authorities concerned to complete Peoples Bus Service mobile app work on priority basis. He issued these directives while chairing transport department meeting. Minister was briefed on operation of bus service, its new routes, ITS and establishment of command and control room.
