ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) remarked that Shoaib Sheikh will have to appear before it at every cost. Court gave these remarks during hearing of appeal pleas filed by Shoaib Sheikh and other accused against their conviction in Axact fake degree case here.
Shoaib Sheikh appeared in court along with his counsels Abid Zubairi and Latif Khosa. Court inquired non bailable arrest warrants in respect of Nigel Brin Robello were issued. What has been done with them.
FIA told that court order were not receive. Therefore, compliance could not be made. Court remarked should I get arrest warrants comply by asking DG FIA. If order was not received one day then you should have checked it next day. File goes from court to branch.
Counsel for Shoaib Sheikh told court case of appellant cannot be separated unless he is declared absconder. Counsel for Shoaib Sheikh requested court hearing of this case be adjourned till January.
Court remarked when case will start on merit, it is not liable to end on one date. We don’t know what anxiety is with you and why you want delay in this case.
Counsel for Shoaib Sheikh told court application for exemption from attendance has also been filed on behalf of Shoaib Sheikh.
Court remarked your case has not been started so far and you are seeking exemption till decision of appeal. It is not your right but court has suspended conviction by showing grace. Arguments on appeal against conviction have not been started. We will take it along slowly. You should assist.

Exemption be given unless process of declaring an appellant proclaimed offender is completed. Court remarked you should see your petition. You are seeking full exemption from attendance. Chief Justice IHC remarked Shoaib Sheikh will have to appear in court at every cost.
Court adjourned till December 16 hearing of appeal pleas filed by Shoaib Sheik and others against their conviction.
