Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shehbaz Sharif has stated that if the PML-N comes into power, Nawaz Sharif will assume the role of Pakistan's Prime Minister, as reported by a private news channel.
In recent remarks, Shehbaz Sharif highlighted key aspects of his tenure following the removal of the PTI Chairman from the position of Prime Minister.
Shehbaz Sharif, a prominent political figure, extended congratulations to the nation on the expansion of the Generalized Scheme of Preferences Plus (GSP+), which allows Pakistan to export goods to the EU with zero import duties on 66 percent of product tariff lines.
Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed his brother, Nawaz Sharif, who is expected to return to Pakistan on October 21, expressing optimism about the country's potential for improvement and brighter days ahead.
He attributed rising inflation, unemployment, and mismanagement during the previous government's term to their actions.
Shehbaz Sharif argued that the PTI government had pushed the country toward potential default but claimed that the policies and decisions of the coalition government effectively controlled inflation and revitalized the country's economy.
The former Prime Minister criticized the prior government for negotiating terms with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and failing to fulfill the agreements.
Shehbaz Sharif stressed the importance of good governance, emphasizing that politics should be aimed at enhancing governance rather than pursuing power for personal gain.
