SHC suspends permit issued for ‘Scrap Fest’

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) suspended permit of controversial festival called ‘Scrap Fest’.
Controversial event was scheduled to be held on February 4 in Clifton area. On plea of some concerned citizens, court has suspended permit for festival which was issued by Deputy Commissioner South.
Residents complained that as an Islamic country, this type of festival is against Constitution as it will promote immoral activities in our society. Court ordered DC and SSP south and others, to appear before court on February 9 with records and issued notices to advocate general and other parties involved in matter related to festival’s permit.
