SHC stops implementation of notification for holding by-polls on 9 NA seats

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) stopped implementation of notification for holding by polls against 9 seats of NA in Sindh province on March 16. Petitions filed by 9 MNA from PTI against acceptance of their resignations came up for hearing.

Counsel while giving arguments said stay order by court has been given on such petitions against by polls in Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Balochistan. Independent candidate Qais Mansoor Sheikh also requested for becoming respondent in case. Court issued notice on it. Court later halted implementation of notification for holding by polls on 9 seats of National Assembly on March 16. Hearing of case was adjourned till March 25.
