SHC moved against illegal appointments, transfers in MOFA

KARACHI: Irregular appointments and transfers in Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) challenged in Sindh High Court (SHC). Two-member bench headed by Justice Muhammad Iqbal Kalhoro heard case.
Advocate Malik Altaf Javed in his petition stated that employees are being posted in offices all over world after being merged into foreign ministry from provinces.
Petitioner said that Supreme Court has stopped integration of employees from other departments, bringing permanent employment from provinces is violation of order of apex Court.
Advocate Malik Altaf Javed stated that process of permanent appointments and promotions in ministry has also stopped due to illegal appointments. Court sought report of Secretary Establishment Division, Ministry of Foreign Office and others. SHC ordered parties to submit reply on February 17.
