SHC bins MQM-P’s plea on fake domicile issue

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) rejected Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan plea against fake domiciles. MQM-P’s MPA in Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izharul Hassan in its plea alleged that jobs were given by Sindh government in Karachi on ‘fake domiciles.’

Opposing formation of judicial committee to investigate fake domicile issue, additional advocate general during hearing said that Sindh government had formed committee and if anyone has complaint, committee can be moved.

Barrister Rafiq Kalwar said agreement reached between political parties included the issue of domicile? on which MQM-P leader said there is no agreement with Sindh government but there is an understanding between political parties which can end at any time.

Sindh High Court while rejecting plea of MQM-P issued notices to parties for May 29 and sought reply from Sindh government. MQM-P leader had filed petition in Sindh High Court against allotment of over 21,000 jobs and asked them to resolve fake domicile issues in Sindh.
