Shamim Kazmi verified purpose of her organisation, speakers praise

Karachi: Association of Women in Agriculture and Agriculture and Pakistan American Cultural Centre organised recognition ceremony to pay tribute to services of founder chairperson Shamim Kazmi.

Mehmood Sham addressing event said that organisation provides identity to working women and providing support for resolving their issues.

Rashidi paying tribute to services of Shamim Kazmi said that he not only provided financial support to women suffering from mental illness, serious abuse, but also provided legal and other guidance.

Fatima Hassan said that It made his name known through his services in Red Cross, Rotary Club, Lions Club, Civil Hospital Board and other well-known organisations.  Renowned poet Anbar Haseeb Anbar said that Shamim Kazmi always said that women are an important part of society. All women work side by side with women, Special Education Karachi head of university Shagufta Shahzai said that Shamim Kazmi spent 60 years of his life in welfare of women.

TV artist and broadcaster Niloufar Abbasi who came from America said that I have spent long time in Pakistan but I saw only few women whose work became their identity. Shamim Kazmi is big name, said Saleem Akhtar visiting from India (Bhopal). She is admirable. Regarding welfare of women in India, chairperson of Mohiban Bhopal Forum Shafuta Farhat said that Shamim Kazmi has long service, she always attracted women that she is an important part of society. Shamim Kazmi said all our lives were spent in solving issues of women’s welfare, but in this age section feels that this work has fallen short and now new generation of women should come forward and take up this mission.

Kamal Award was presented to her by Mohiban Bhopal Forum by Kaleem Akhtar, Shagufta Farhat and Mehmood Sham. Shahla Ahmed, President of the organisation Karachi chapter highlighted services of Shamim Kazmi. Owais Adeeb Ansari presented flowers and gifts to Sahib Aizaz on behalf of dignitaries and gave short speech.
