Bangkok: Pakistan has received great news from the world of snooker as special cueist Shahzad Butt secured a bronze medal at the World Disability Snooker Championship in Thailand.

Competing against players from 19 countries across five continents, Shahzad Butt delivered an impressive performance, finishing in third place in the prestigious global event. Not only did he reach the semi-finals, but he also recorded the highest break of the championship (86 points), showcasing his remarkable skills.

However, he fell short in the semi-final, before bouncing back to claim the bronze medal match victory. Hailing from Lahore, Shahzad Butt has previously competed in Pakistan’s National Snooker Championship and continues to make a mark on the international stage. His latest achievement is a source of pride for the nation and serves as an inspiration for special athletes aiming to shine in global competitions, Shehzad Butt defeated cueists from England, India, and Australia in his round-robin matches.

In his first match, he overcame England’s five-time world champion, Dave Bolton, with a score of 3-2 in frames. In his second match, he achieved a 3-0 victory over Indian cueist Kadhari Murlera. In the third match, Shehzad clinched another 3-0 win against Australian female cueist Joji Vekipa.
