ISLAMABAD: Shahbaz Gill chief of staff of Imran Khan chairman PTI has been handed over to police on two days physical remand. Kohsar Police Islamabad presented Shahbaz Gill in court of Judicial Magistrate Umar Shabir yesterday. Faisal Chaudhry counsel for Shahbaz Gill also appeared in court.

Investigation officer requested court to grant physical remand of Shahbaz Gill for 14 days for further investigation from him in respect of other persons allegedly involved in offence.

Court order said that it was necessary to grant physical remand of accused due to seriousness of allegations. It said that it was also mandatory to conduct forensic test of recorded voice of accused.

Faisal Chaudhry counsel for Shahbaz Gill while opposing physical remand said there is no ground for obtaining physical remand of his client while he was in police custody earlier since last 24 hours. His client has been tortured and request is made for his medical examination. Court rejected Police plea for granting physical remand for 14 days and only two days remand was given. Court also directed to present accused again on August 12 in court.

Kohsar Police Station registered first information reports against Shahbaz Gill for allegedly giving controversial remarks against sensitive institutions of country.
