On this particular night, faithful sought forgiveness from Allah Almighty and prayed. They keep fast toady to express submissiveness in court of Allah Almighty and beg His countless blessings for both worlds.

Large number of people hailing from all schools of thought by visiting graveyards paid homage at graves of their loved ones. Shedding light on significance of this sacred night, Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi urged people to visit graveyards to pay homage to departed souls of their kith and kin. Visiting graveyards time and again gave sense of life hereafter where one had to stay till doomsday as per Islamic concept, he added.
