RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that people were worried about inflation that had been injected in last 16 months. “Political and economic situation was becoming very serious and dollar was appreciating against rupee. Owing to closure of factories, poor workers had become jobless. State was made of masses, if people were prosperous and peaceful, state would be stable and prosperous, he said in message on social networking website X.

Rasheed said President Arif Alvi’s tweet has stirred up commotion in country. He wrote that after President Alvi’s tweet, caretaker Law Minister and Law Ministry were in fix. Instead of resolving issue, it was getting out of proportion, he added.

Rasheed said that in next three weeks, Supreme Court would announce important decisions from population census to NAB’s Toshakhana and now Official Secrets Act would also be included. For last three days, there is nothing but President’s tweet on media of world and Pakistan, he continued.
