RAWALPINDI: Seasoned politician Sheikh Rasheed said that statements issued by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his Cabinet members on IMF deal were contradictory

While questioning whether they were managing country or some market, he said ministers were of opinion that anti-US narrative was reason behind not finalising agreement.  At same time, Awami Muslim League Chief noted that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had been saying that IMF was doing politics and he did not care about what international lender had to say.

But on other hand, Prime Minister said they were going to sign document during current month and nation would be taken into confidence if it wasn’t case, former Interior Minister added.

In series of tweets, Rasheed claimed that people were not being fooled by their assertions. Coalition government would go for elections by relying upon May 9 events as narrative, he predicted.  AML Chief remarked that no decision had so far been made about which one would be actual king’s party and that PPP was unable to have any big name [induct known political figures into party].

He said threatening expatriates would further decline remittances and added that budget was quite opposite to facts. Rasheed was of opinion that Almighty Allah and judiciary would rescue country out of present political hell as biryani-based rallies [reference to public gatherings being attended by Maryam Nawaz] were going to prove unproductive.
