Service delivery sole criterion for competing public office: PM Shehbaz

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said politics in country was reduced to mere rhetoric and termed service delivery main criterion for running public office. “To me, service delivery alone should govern competition for public office,” he wrote on Twitter. Prime minister regretted that politics in country suffered from structural flaw. “It has, unfortunately, been reduced to shorthand for grandstanding and meaningless rhetoric,” he said. He said politics was an arena where people competed to serve fellow citizens.

Meanwhuile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Sherry Rehman presented case of Pakistan on climate change in an excellent manner. In statement on twitter Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciating Minister for Climate change Senator Sherry Rehman said, “Way you have presented case of Pakistan on Climate change after last year devastating floods is commendable.” You have done incredible public service, you deserve honour.

Shehbaz Sharif has made this tweet with reference to inclusion of name of Sherry Rehman in list of Time magazine, 100 most influential people of 2023.
