ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples’ Party Senator Raza Rabbani demanded to make Rs 10,000 hike in Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) pension. Speaking on floor of Senate, Raza Rabbani said that budget 2023-24 was unique budget in many aspects. “International Monetary Fund is also imposing unique conditions on Pakistan.”

“Despite fulfilment of all pre-conditions, IMF agreement is not signed yet. IMF has always forwarded goal post and institution is also part of international imperialism,” criticised Senator.

Senator Rabbani claimed that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is deliberately put on back burner and campaign was commenced against it. “It seems that IMF agreement would not be signed. Everyone knows about regional situation. Payment for Russian oil was made in Chinese currency. Pakistan will have to come out of clutches of IMF and global imperialists.” He demanded Rs 10,000 hike in Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution pensions.
