Security Forces kill 5 terrorists in IBO: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Security Forces killed five terrorists during separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in North and South Waziristan, military’s media wing said. In statement, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that terrorists were killed after an “Intense fire exchange” between them and Security Forces. Military’s media wing said that after gunning them down, Forces recovered “Weapons, ammunition and large quantity of equipment”.
“Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate menace of terrorism from every inch of our territory with an unflinching resolve,” ISPR said. With terrorism rearing its head once again in country, civil-military leadership has resolved to accelerate action against perpetrators of terror attacks in country.
During last National Apex Committee, country’s top sought national consensus to root out militancy. Recent attacks by terrorists in country’s rural and urban centres, claiming lives of innocent Pakistanis and law enforcers, have triggered Security Forces to speed up operations against culprits.
Latest operation came after security forces gunned down three terrorists in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan during sanitisation operation on Thursday which came after Forces killed six militants in same area day earlier.
