School directed to return annual fees to parents: DG Private institutions

KARACHI: In an action against a private school for charging annual fees from parents, school was directed to return amount collected from parents of students on account of annual fees.

Director General Private Institutions Karachi acting on complaint filed by parents against a private school in Gulistan-e-Jauhar barred school administration from charging annual fees. Schools cannot demand annual or other charges from parents of students without permission from competent authority, DG said.

Parents filed an application against Karachi school for charging Rs 5,000 student as annual charges twice a year.
