Scarlett Johansson claimed that her previous management company ‘groomed’ her into accepting ‘bombshell’ roles. 38-year-old ‘Black Widow’ actress remarked ‘Table for Two’ podcast with Bruce Bozzi, “I kind of became, like, an ingénue.”

“Young girls like that are really objectified and that’s just fact, so I think whatever box they’re put into, it sort of sets you on this trajectory for how your life will go. Now, obviously, women really are able more now to choose their own path.”

Johansson claimed that in her late teens, she started to embrace womanhood and started playing with her own “Desirability and sexuality,” albeit this didn’t necessarily help her escape stereotype. “I was kind of being groomed in manner to be this what you call this bombshell type of actress,” ‘Black Dahlia’ star continued. I was playing other woman and this object of desire when I suddenly realised that I was trapped and unable to escape.

Johansson disclosed that she had “Very terrible time” filming ‘Lost in Translation’ with Bill Murray when she was just 17 years old. It was challenging for me to understand significant bond between our characters. She continued, “I fought with that for various reasons and when I got out of it, it was like this strange fever dream.–Agencies
