SC wraps up NAB plea for revocation of bail regarding DG AC Punjab, others

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has wrapped up petition filed by NAB seeking revocation of bail in respect of DG Anti-Corruption Punjab Sohail Zafar Chatha and others accused in alleged corruption of Rs 300 million declaring it non maintainable. Matter came up for hearing before 3-member bench of SC presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial.
Special NAB Prosecutor told court during hearing of case Accountability Court Lahore has returned reference against accused persons after amendment in NAB laws. Case will now run in Anti-Corruption. Present case is of less than Rs 500 million corruption and it does not fall in jurisdiction of NAB.
