ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has reinstated Ghulam Muhammad Dogar CCPO Lahore besides issuing notice to federal government.  Appeal plea against special bench of service tribunal came up for hearing before 3-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Ijar Ul Ahsan.

Abid Zubairi counsel for petitioner argued Ghulam Muhammad Dogar was reinstated by Federal Service Tribunal. Later two members bench of Federal service Tribunal had suspended decision of his reinstatement. Decision of two member bench of service tribunal cannot be suspended by another two member bench of Service tribunal. Review petition of government was also pending hearing before tribunal. Provincial government is does not want to relieve CCPO.  Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan remarked how one bench of tribunal can suspend decision of other bench. On one hand special bench said petition is premature and suspended decision.  Justice Mazahir Naqvi raised question how did Lahore High Court says that constitutional petition is non maintainable.

Court while ordering to reinstate CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mehmood Dogar and issuing notice to federal government adjourned hearing of case for indefinite period.
