KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) sought details of stuck-up imported containers at ports, reports said. Development follows meeting held with Governor State Bank of Pakistan Jameel Ahmed at Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). Karachi Chamber requested members of business and industrial community to provide all required details to KCCI through an online e-form, statement released by Chamber said.

According to statement issued, all data collected will subsequently be forwarded to SBP so that stuck-up containers could be released at earliest possible time. Thousands of containers packed with essential food items, raw materials and medical equipment have been held up at Karachi Port as country grapples with desperate foreign exchange crisis.–PPI
