The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has officially announced Monday, December 25, as a bank holiday to honor both Quaid-i-Azam Day and Christmas.
This declaration, conveyed by the central bank through its official X account, aligns with the upcoming celebration of the 147th birth anniversary of Pakistan's founding figure, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
Earlier, the interim federal government announced that employees belonging to the Christian community would receive their salaries and pensions on December 20, five days ahead of Christmas.
In the twin cities, the fervor for Christmas has escalated, evident in the adornment of homes and churches with Christmas trees, flags, radiant lights, and vibrant electric lamps.
