‘Sasta Bachat Bazaar’ across District Central kicks-off

Karachi: On instructions of Sindh government, ‘sasta bachat bazaar’ were arranged in different areas of central district for low income people. Sindh Ministers Shehla Raza, Ikramullah Dharijo, Adviser to Chief Minister Sindh Haji Rasool Bakhsh visited make-shift markets in the District Central.
Minister Shehla Raza on her visit said inflation in the current time is exagerrating for which Sindh government is taking all possible measures to provide relief to people. In all five sub-divisions of central district, saving and make-shifts markets are being established said Taha Saleem, Deputy Commissioner and Administrator of District. Taha Saleem said that with the help of these markets in all five sub-divisions of District Central, people will get daily eatables at nominal rates. These include Nazimabad Hadi Market, North Nazimabad Hydri Market, Tanki Ground Liaquatabad, Sector 11-I North Karachi and Afghan Ground. Adviser to Chief Minister Haji Rasool Bakhsh Chandio, member of Sindh Assembly and special assistant to CM Arbab Lutfullah, Special Assistant Faraz Lakhani has been nominated in District to oversee all the working. In this regard, Minister Ikramullah Dharijo visited Sasta Bachat Bazar in Nazimabad Hadi Market along with DC Taha Saleem. Afaq Saeed, Assistant Commissioner North Nazimabad Hazim Bhangwar, focal person for Sasta Bachat Bazar, PPPdistrict officials, workers, representatives of print and electronic media were also present. Shahla Raza also visited stalls of various items in market and reviewed prices. Shehla Raza while talking to media representatives said that inflation is high and it has become difficult for poor to live. People have high expectations from Sindh government. Everyone is worried, white-clad community is very worried, we have to help them. She paid tribute to Deputy Commissioners of Karachi for setting up inexpensive make-shift markets. Revolutionary measures against inflation were taken, in which 20 section officers have been appointed. Powers of magistrates have been increased under which action will be taken against high street sellers, profiteers and hoarders.
Sindh government ministers lauded the efforts of DC Taha Saleem for implementing Sasta Bachat Bazaar initiative around District Central and vowed full support to him for taking this rightly throughout the holy month of Ramadhan.
