Sarwat Gilani spoke openly about various topics related to social issues including showbiz career and characters.

Explaining reason behind preferring independent projects over commercial projects on television, actress said reason is to effectively raise voice about important issues which are not being given much importance in TV serials. She said, "Over time, I started speaking out against women's rights, child abuse and many other serious real-life issues, because of which I felt that if I spoke about it I am and believe there are certain things that need to be done in our society, so I can't go back to being victimised woman because I don't believe in that.

I am sure that there are many extraordinary women in Pakistan, there are many examples of such women and their success stories need to be presented. Actress said, 'I did drama 'Khasara' in 2018. This was my last television role and in it, I played really strong woman, that's aspect I want to highlight women are strong and admirable.'
