Every season, audience looks forward to seeing select few dramas on television. One such drama is Kuch Ankahi, which saw coming together of Muhammad Ahmed, writer who can write without traditional clichés of violence and sibling rivalry and Kashf Foundation, which has always produced good scripts empowering women and putting out great messages. Add to it casting, which features stars like Sajal Aly, Bilal Abbas Khan, Irsa Ghazal, Asma Abbas, Mira Sethi, Qudsia Ali, Ali Safina and Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui as well as direction of Nadeem Baig.

There was dash of drama, pinch of spice and whiff of humour in last night’s premiere of Kuch Ankahi. Number of characters are larger than life, while others are relatable. First episode gave viewers chance to see their favorite characters and introduce central concept.
